Myrtle Point School District 41

From the Desk of Steve Perkins Tuesday, May 13th The school year is winding down. We have several upcoming events in the district. First and foremost, Myrtle Point High School Graduation is on Saturday, June 7th @ 2pm at the high school football field. It will be an outside event weather permitting. You can check the district website or Facebook page for events at each school. The baseball, softball and track seasons are winding down. The last baseball and softball games are scheduled for this Friday, May 16th at home. The baseball team is currently tied for first place in the league. They should potentially host a playoff game. Date and time to be determined. Track has their district meet @ Illinois Valley High School on Friday, May 23rd. The boy’s 400 meter relay team recently broke a long-standing Myrtle Point record. Good luck to all of our spring sports teams. We are very excited to announce that that Maple Middle School has received a 2.5 million dollar Oregon State Seismic Retrofit grant. This project will tentatively be scheduled for the summer of 2026. Important dates: No School on Friday, May 23rd. Graduation on Saturday, June 7th @ 2pm. There will be a two-hour early release on Thursday, June 12th. This means busses will run two hours early. This is the last day of school for students. Steve Perkins

🍎✨ Happy School Lunch Hero Day and Cinco De Mayo! ✨🍎 Today we give a HUGE shoutout to the amazing staff who nourish our students every single day. From early mornings to busy lunch rushes, they serve up more than just food — they serve smiles, encouragement, and kindness. Thank you for keeping our students fueled and ready to learn. Also a special thank you to the school board and community members who came to help serve and celebrate with us.

Myrtle Point School District is excited to announce the approval of the ODE grant award for FREE meals has been approved. This grant ensures all students regardless of economic status receive balanced, healthy meals for free. This award guarantees free meals through the 2028-2029 School year.

National Decision Day is tomorrow May 1st! To celebrate the many paths our 2025 seniors will be choosing after graduation they marked this milestone by creating personalized pennants that reflect their goals, identities, and hopes for the future. We are so proud of their hard work, dreams, and unique journeys ahead.
