A huge thank you to our wonderful local coffee shop for treating us to the sweetest Dolly Day coffee bar on 9/25!
There’s no better way to make a workday filled with behavior training a little brighter than a delicious iced coffee bar. You definitely gave us the “Cup of Ambition” we needed!
Thank you for thinking of us and for being such a special part of our community!

Maple Middle School Holds Annual Fun Run at Rotary Park
Maple Middle School students took to Rotary Park today for their annual Fun Run, a favorite tradition that brings students, teachers, and the community together.
Over the past several weeks, students collected donations to support Maple Middle School projects, enrichment opportunities, and activities. Students could earn donations based on the total amount they raised or the number of laps they completed during the event.
With every lap, students received a colorful bracelet, creating a fun and colorful reminder of their accomplishments. Music and bubbles added to the excitement as students ran, cheered, and encouraged one another.
One of the most anticipated parts of the event was the traditional teacher costume run. Teachers kicked off the race wearing inflatable costumes, bringing plenty of laughter and excitement as students cheered for their favorite teachers.
The Fun Run has become a beloved Maple Middle School tradition, celebrating school spirit, teamwork, and the generosity of students, families, and the community. Go Bobcats!

Myrtle Crest students were Otter Poppin’ Friday afternoon!
We celebrated our students’ hard work and fantastic results on their fall i-Ready Reading and Math assessments—and they certainly gave us something to celebrate!
We know that summer slide is real, and students often see a dip in their fall assessment scores after a summer away from school. So, this year we set a goal: students would aim to score within 10 points of their TOP score from last year.
As a little extra motivation, we promised an Otter Pop to every student who met that goal. Well…good thing the store had plenty of Otter Pops because 96% of our students met their goal!
Principal Backman was so impressed by our students’ hard work, perseverance, and results that she decided to reward every student in grades 1–5 for their efforts!
And don’t worry, Kindergarten—we haven’t forgotten you! Your Otter Pop celebration is coming next week!
Way to go, Myrtle Crest! We are so proud of the effort, growth, and determination our students are showing!
