Please feel free to come by the school and look through the lost and found items. Come by between 7:45am- 3:45pm and check in at the main office.
We have a new baseball field! In one week Gabe Foster of Lampa Mountain Resources completely changed the face of Myrtle Point Baseball! We can’t thank him and Megan Matt Chamberlain enough! Please come check the field out and watch these boys play some ball. First home game for JV will April 3rd and varsity will be April 11th vs Reedsport. Go Bobcats!
On Tuesday, both kindergarten classes had a field trip to the MP Fire station. Kids learned about fire safety, future career opportunities and more.
The kids really enjoyed trying on the hats and coats, but their favorite activity was spraying the fire hose.
A very special thank you to the MP fire crew for this really great day!
Maple Middle School 7th and 8th grade 4.0 students had a special lunch at Dennys Pizza today. There were 26 kids who were rewarded for their excellent grades.

Students at Myrtle Crest celebrate NATIONAL READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK. Today was dress green or as your favorite character.
MPSD is featured in the March/ April edition of SN Magazine on page 8. This magazine is printed nationwide for School Nutrition Professionals. Over 50,000 copies are currently in route to SNA members.
MPSD is proud to be the creator of this fun game that encourages kids to eat healthy and try new foods.
Middle School girls basketball games scheduled for today have been cancelled. Coffenberry has to make up games they missed in the snow and ice storms they had a couple of weeks ago. Congratulations on a great season!
Jr high track will start 3/17/25. Practice will be 3:30pm-5:30pm. Sign-ups are in the main office at Maple Middle School. Please make sure you have an updated sports physical before the 17th. This is for 6th-8th graders. Go Bobcats!

All staff of the Myrtle Point School District took part in a Darkness to Light training today, a crucial program focused on preventing child sexual abuse and creating a safer environment for all children. This training provided valuable insights into recognizing signs of abuse, responding appropriately, and fostering a culture of awareness and protection.
Myrtle Crest’s Title 1 Family Fun Night—Get a Clue! is TONIGHT, Feb. 27, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Open to all Myrtle Crest students with their families, this fun event will include mystery-themed stories, puzzles to solve, games, and the challenge of solving who stole the Myrtle Crest mascot. Participants will earn raffle tickets by completing activities. The drawing for the prizes will be held next Monday. For more information call 541-572-1230, ext. 3030.

After a mock Congress in which students learned the legislative process, they spent the day touring Capitol Hill, and meeting with Senators Wyden and Merkley, as well as staff from Rep. Hoyle’s office.
