If your Myrtle Crest student came home with a sweet, little, stuffed animal today, it's because retired teacher Nancy Smith and her family brought in over 400 animals to share with students. Nancy inherited a huge collection from her Aunt Shirley and wanted to pass them along to students who would love and enjoy them. This photo shows just a small portion of the stuffies that lined the classroom for students to choose from. Thank you to the Smiths for sharing the love!

Veggie BINGO!
The pre K class came down to the cafeteria for part of their nutrition and healthy eating week.
All students got a bingo card. A veggie was drawn from the card pile, the kids were provided a few facts about the benefits of that particular veggie. Next they had the option to try the veggie, if they tried it they could place a marker on that spot on the card. A bingo won them a small prize.
The participation was outstanding! All 24 kids tried everything. Many students found new favorites and tried new things.
