The Middle School Boys Cross Country Team traveled to Western Oregon University's Ash Creek Cross Country Course in Monmouth to compete in the Stumptown Youth XC Championships on Sunday, October 30th.
Over 1,000 runners were entered in the boys and girls Super Champs (Varsity) and Champs (Junior Varsity) race divisions. The Bobcats, comprised of Cash Miller, Eli Nicholson, Ryder Blanton, Zane Wheeler, Tyler Martell, Conner Robbins, Danner Aasen, and Rejji Hawker, competed in a field of 18 Super Champs teams. Myrtle Point finished 3rd with a score of 140, edging out Southwest Christian by 3 points and falling to Hanby by 4 points.
The Bobcats' team scoring results were: (2) Miller 10:07.3, (4) Nicholson 10:13.6, (25) Blanton 11:04.3, (52) Wheeler 11:40.7, (57)Martell 11:53.5, (69) Robbins 12:05.3, (109) Aasen 14:14.2, and (117) Hawker 16:54.4
