Chealsea Marshall and family

Staff Spotlight: Chealsea Marshall, 6th-grade teacher at Myrtle Crest.
What brought you to this job?
I have always enjoyed teaching so it was an easy decision to get my Master’s Degree in teaching.  It is also great to work where my children attend school.
What are you looking forward to this school year?
I am excited to teach 6th-grade students and co-teach with Alex Miller.
What is something you enjoy - that makes your life rewarding?
Something that brought a smile to my face was the sound of students in the hallways after the school being so quiet and somber over the summer.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
I enjoy traveling with my family and exploring new places. One of the first waterfalls I took my family to when we moved back to Coos County. was Gold and Silver Falls. I am looking forward to rainy days so I can feel guiltless lounging with a good book and baking chocolate chip cookies with my daughters.
